Love like a dog.
A dog’s love is amazing! But before I continue, let me say this….may life treat you as kindly as you treat animals! Their love is constant and never failing, loyally and faithfully true. It never depends on what you give them, your time and attention, affection or even treats. They love you because you are their world and loving you is what they desire, and they’ll never stop.
Most of us, I’d like to think, give love right back to them. Their love and devotion brings us so much joy and happiness that you can’t ignore it, and not reciprocate. It’s just natural, we love them as soon as we see them. And they grow to love us quickly too. And once they do, it’s for life!
I think that a dog’s love is a fair comparison to Jesus’s love….fair is in…that’s probably pushing the limits of our understanding. But if the love of a dog can bring so much happiness and joy, can you imagine the results of your love, or someone else’s? So, surely, the love of Christ must be unimaginable. I mean, would you voluntarily accept the consequences of others folks’s actions?
Without this love between us (mankind), we will continue to isolate and ultimately we will fail.
Side note: I had the opportunity to be in bed on a cold and rainy morning….with Beans, our furry little love. So this came to mind!
