Random thoughts: lead or follow
Someone recently asked me if I considered myself to be a leader or follower. I had to think about that for a second. But my answer was, I’ve never really considered myself either to be honest. However, different situations have called for different actions throughout my life. He said, I’ve always considered myself a follower and I don’t feel like I’ve done much.
To make it short, my response was… it’s ok to be a follower. Followers are usually the ones with the power. Even though there have been “great” leaders throughout history, they wouldn’t have been “great” without followers who, knowingly or not, gave them what they needed to succeed. World changing impacts seldom come from those who walk alone. Followers are a leader’s greatest asset when trying to make the world a better place. The twelve most well known apostles were followers of one man. And nearly 2000 years later, we still follow that man today. So, it’s ok to follow….because that’s EXACTLY….what Jesus wants!
And so the conversation went on. But, take into consideration what, or who, and why you follow. If you follow, make sure the path leads to Jesus. And if you follow Jesus, You’ll Never Walk Alone. YNWA
NOTE: my mind is usually flooded with random thoughts….so….along side my articles, I’m also going to post some of those random thoughts. So, here you have my first “random thoughts”, “freestyle” post! And yes, I said freestyle. Because, according to my wife, I can drop mad beats…and, I rapify! Or at least, I’m pretty sure she said something to that effect. So here we have it: Freestyle 1
Folks, seek to see through the eyes of Jesus. But to do that, you’re going to have to humble yourself before God.
