Questions about truth and Christianity

TD11-Yes, God does want you

TD11-Yes, God does want you

Even though you may currently feel a great distance between God and yourself, I assure you, he still wants you. A lot of times, folks question whether or not God still loves them and if they’re past the point of forgiveness. Over the course of time, I’ve heard something similar to the following, countless times….”God’s not gonna forgive me for that or, God doesn’t forgive people like me….and my favorite, I burned that bridge”….meaning….God’s done with me.

Before I continue, once again, I’m going to point to a little bit of scripture real quick because I “think” it ties into what I’m going to say. First, I would point to a couple of well known verses, John 3:16-18…..read it….don’t settle on my words. It says that God gave his son for ALL…meaning that acceptance, repentance and forgiveness are for anyone and everyone who choose to follow Christ.

And second, John 3:11….read it…don’t settle on my words. This verse says “we speak of what we know, and testify to what we have seen”. Now, it’s important to read it yourself, not to take it out of context. I, obviously, have no divine authority haha. But here is what I know, and my rebuttal to those who think Jesus wouldn’t accept them.

So, this is what I know and what I can testify to. I myself, earned a full scholarship to hell at a young age. I took that scholarship and jumped right into society’s university (I thought that was catchy) and took full advantage. Along the way, I encountered some pretty unimaginable things. There were times when I was surrounded by so much evil that it caused even someone whose asleep to be fearful. I have seen the eyes of evil and if there’s a place on earth that one could compare to hell, I have been there. Whether it was psychological or physical, by some means, I’ve experienced it. But here’s the worst part. Had you asked me then, if I were a Christian, at one point I’d have said yes. Think about that for a second….for you non-believers. You probably haven’t been in that place, as someone who believed in God….or acknowledged Jesus. At least you have somewhat of an explainable excuse. But, I can’t say that. For me, and for many others I’m certain, I flat out said, nope, screw you, see ya when I see ya. To me, that almost seems worse than never acknowledging that God and Jesus are real. Refer to the Bible for an answer on that.

And to you folks that “did believe”, who doubt heavily or those that have totally walked away and rejected it….God still wants you. For those who did believe, he never left. He’s still waiting. And for the folks who don’t believe, he’s waiting on you too. If I’ve been where I’ve been, fully and intentionally rejecting Jesus for so long, and I woke up….you can do the same. But, not on my account or experience….it’s based on what the Bible says and the teachings of Jesus. There’s many other folks who’ve experienced the same. And many people out there, I’m certain, would tell you a similar story. And that’s because it’s true. They’re over 8 billion people on the planet. There is not one among us who Christ will reject who doesn’t reject him.

I’m not going to go into my personal story but, I will share more as time goes on, according to what God asks of me. But for now, I’ll tell you I’ve been around some very “hardened” individuals in my time. I’ve always found it interesting to see what people cling to when all else in life fails….and those who may even expect their own time to be over soon. The majority of folks that I’ve observed in these situations, interestingly enough, overwhelmingly turn to Christ. Many probably wonder why. I suspect, it’s because they’ve been humbled and they realize that there’s nothing left that society can offer. And then, maybe they realize that their only hope….is in Jesus. It’s something to think about….why does it take extreme measures to cause folks to wake up? Because pressure from society causes you to turn away from and continuously reject Christ.

Folks, yes, God wants you….and will love you and give you eternal life…every last one of you. Seek Jesus, and you will find God.

“…earning a full scholarship to hell.”. I’ve never heard the price of rejecting Jesus described in this way, but it’s a powerful statement. Describes perfectly where each of us are currently or have been in our life.

    Thanks for your honestly.
